Nonfiction Writing

Nonfiction Convention Chart

The Mackarados have been working hard at writing reports, "all about" books, and nonfiction writing. They have been learning about the different nonfiction conventions, such as: labels, captions, table of contents, index, glossary, bold words, maps, and real pictures. Students have not only learned to include these elements in their writing, but also are having great success at finding these nonfiction elements in different books that they are reading!
