Sleepover

Last Friday was the first grade sleepover and the Mackarados enjoyed lots of fun activities! We started our day by participating in a pajama parade around the school. Mrs. Phillips led our parade around the dark hallways while the students and their bears sang, "Twinkle, twinkle little star." We then enjoyed our yummy Denny's breakfast and got a few laughs watching our teachers do the hokey pokey! Our first station was art, where we made book covers for our sleepover stories. Then we went to PE and played a fun bear game. The best part was when the teachers played against the students....and when the students won! The whole class got to enjoy lunch in the classroom, and then play Bear Bingo when they were done. After Bingo, it was time to head to our pajama party!! Our class went to the media center with Mrs. KK and enjoyed a puppet show about the book, "Ira sleeps over." Then we ate popcorn and watched a short movie. After we were done, we got to have a massive dance party! Everyone was dancing, singing, and just having a great time! Even though we were all so tired, we found the energy to head to music and learn two bear square dances. We had fun swinging our partners around and circling to the left and the right. After the Mackarados had such a great day filled with fun, they got to take their bears home with them.
