We had such a great day today, celebrating Earth Day!!! Students were encouraged to dress up as "earth-friendly superheroes." They came dressed in a variety of different characters and materials. Students and parents were very creative as they recycled their towel or T-shirt into a cape, used plastic bags as part of their costume, and created jet boosters from plastic juice containters. We enjoyed some time outside today and went on a nature walk and got to play "Trash, Trash, Recycle" (otherwise known as Duck, Duck, Goose). We made Earth Day magnets, recycled sea creatures (made from toilet paper rolls), "litter bugs" (made from egg cartons and other scraps), painted pinecones, and one-of-a-kind world necklaces! We hope that you spent some time today thinking about how lucky we are to live in such a great world, we sure did! Do your part and try to begin one new Environmental Friendly habit today!
